A Day in Town

On Sunday, we decide to explore the cute, little town that is Bariloche. It's a delightful place. Here are some pictures.

The town is on this lake, Nahuel Huapi. I still can't believe how beautiful it is.

Lots of trees had crocheted trunk covers.
I don't always like this, but it really fit the place and was cool there.

One telephone booth tried to hop in on the trend. It doesn't quite have the same effect.
There were pine trees. I miss pine trees.

Fall is coming!

Our fantastic hostel. With fantastic breakfasts. And super awesome staff.

There were a whole bunch of places with artisans. We went to them all. I love hand made things. Not this thing in particular. This I just thought was amusing. It could work in the right place with the right personality.

More views of the lake.

There was a tree carving competition. We thought maybe we had actually traveled to Canada. There was a lot of Swiss influence as well, so there were times when we thought we were in Europe. And then we got whistled at while bike riding and realized we were, in fact, in South America.
And then we went ice skating in a small rink over the lake. It was a ton of fun.
