Mendoza Part One: A Macro Veiw of the City

The view from our tab
The lunch.
One our first full day in Mendoza, we had a beautiful welcome lunch with all of the host families, UNCUYO staff, and Marlee (who is wonderful and works in Dickinson's Global Ed office). Mendoza has a massive park, that also has a fitness center attached to a restaurant overlooking the a "lake." There were almost 100 people there. There was an appetizer buffet, a pasta bar, desert, and champagne.

After lunch (which ended at 4:00) we took a bus tour. We didn't stop many places, as a result there's not many pictures. It was nice to see everything all at once. Here are some highlights.

A new church built to hold 4,000 people.

An older church that was attached to the new one.

One example of the many, many, many parks and plazas in Mendoza.
