Midterms

It's that time of year. For everyone else it's time for finals, but we do things a little differently down here in the southern hemisphere. This coming week will be the most stressful thus far in Mendoza.

Monday: Geography Exam
Tuesday: Presentation in my Spanish Class (oral production)
Thursday:  Exam in the part of my Spanish Class (auditory comprehension)

It's the Geography exam that is most concerning. My presentation for Tuesday is on Argentine nursery rhymes, so that will just be fun. And the exam on Thursday won't be hard. I don't really think that Geography exam will be either. It's all multiple choice and true/false. I have also spent a ridiculous number of hours studying. Those things meant that I really shouldn't be all that worried. But I am. It feels a little like the first time I took an exam at Dickinson. I have spent the last two days (and parts of all of the days in the past week) buried in reading about what geography is, what factors affect geography, and what the difference is between site and position. None of the concepts are difficult. I might go as far as to say that most is common sense. Hopefully it goes well.
Yesterday afternoon, my study location was the tea shop around the corner.

Friday night, walking through the plaza, Lindsey and I were roped in to trying this puzzle:

Mission: Separate ourselves.
Hint: It's like taking your bra off without removing your shirt. We were closer in the other photo. People gathered to watch our struggles. Carrie offered suggestions. It took forever. We did eventually figure it out.
 Alright back to studying...
