A View from Above

Carrie, Lindsey, and I went to an observatory to get a different perspective of Mendoza on Saturday. The roof of a government building had been turned garden/observatory. It's not a particularly tall building. However, nothing is very tall in Mendoza. The reason for this is that hundreds of years ago, the city was destroyed by an earthquake. To guard against that, buildings were kept short. This is also the reason for the bazillion plazas. If there is a large earthquake, people are supposed to flock to the plazas. Anyway, now that I've given my mother something new to worry about, here are some photos.

So flat.

The garden featured many sculptures. They were awesome.

Mountains!

Soccer.

Lindsey has a brand new instagram obsession.
You should follow her if you have instagram.
This mural was at the base of the building.
